FemapFEMAP provides a powerful yet cost-effective pre- and post-processor for computer aided engineering (CAE). FEMAP with NX NASTRAN

FEMAP is automatically integrated with NX NASTRAN, bringing the user-friendliness of FEMAP with the advanced analysis capabilities of NASTRAN. Many aspects of NX NASTRAN such as solution options, param keyword settings, specific job controls, case controls, model checking, and detailed result generation requests can be defined directly in FEMAP. Support for NX NASTRAN as well as other flavors of NASTRAN provides a high level of solution control for the user.

FEMAP with Thermal, Advanced Thermal, and Flow

In addition to NX NASTRAN, FEMAP is coupled with the FEMAP Thermal, Advanced Thermal, and Flow solvers. Thermal brings state-of the art thermal solutions to FEMAP for nonlinear, transient heat transfer processes. These processes include conduction, radiation, free and forced convection, basic fluid flow, and phase change. Analysis are performed with accuracy and speed, reducing product design cycles.

Advanced Thermal supports Thermal in providing solutions such as fluid duct modeling, coupled convection and fluid flow analysis. Complex situations such as radiation and spacecraft situations can be modeled accurately using Advanced Thermal. Finally, custom user subroutines, model simplification, sub-structuring and interfaces to industry thermal codes provide even more power and control to an analysis engineer.

Flow adds computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis to FEMAP, providing analysis for complex flows. Support for laminar, turbulent, low and high speed compressible flows, forced flow, natural convection, and mixed flows all with a multitude of boundary conditions, allowing for analysis of a vast array of flow situations. Both structured and unstructured meshes add flexibility. Finally, FEMAP Thermal can be coupled with Flow, allowing for many advanced situations to be analyzed.
