All aircraft and aerospace parts, including pressurized vessels, must have adequate life (i.e. safe-life) during their service usage. This class will teach engineers and students how to estimate the life of fracture critical parts when they are exposed to varying load environments. Numerous example problems related to durability and damage tolerance of high risk parts are included in the class curriculum.
This is an intermediate level course in durability and damage tolerance with emphasis in applications.
